Exclusive | Historical Brick Townhouse requires $ 1.75 million on a hidden brooklyn road where houses rarely rank

Located in a corner of Flatbush, Brooklyn stands a rare list that can be mistaken for the suburbs.

The $ 1.75 million Townhouse is in Albemarle Terrace, a quiet road near the Prospect park.

With its neighbor, Kenmore Terrace, the sad cul-de-sac for the historical circuit of Albemarle-Kenmore terraces.

The quiet community, achieved by the 21st eastern road, is shaded under a tent of ripe pine trees. The listings there are rare.

The picturesque four -bed settlement, with two baths on the offer, is with special note, as it is among the “smaller, wrong dormitory houses”, rated by historians of architecture and preservatives in the book Bricks & Brownstone: The New York Row House.

The author called Albemarle Terrace as “the most realized neo-federal houses in the city”, and greeted the shortest cities as they represent “the perfect bookstores of the New York Row House building houses”.

This $ 1.75 million house includes three floors. Its interiors feature hardwood floors, a wood burning fireplace, and a light -filled sun room. A large base include a laundry room and access to the backyard.

Terrace Albemarle was built by Brooklyn-based popular firm, Los & Bryson between 1916 and 1917-red, burnt bricks, sprinkled stone lines, tile roofs and dormitories between their determining features.

The peace of life at Albemarle Terrace has changed slightly over the past 100 years. A 1978 report by the Landmarks Conservation Commission described the “quiet environment” of the community, offering a “refreshing contrast to crowds, traffic and noise at the near intersection of churches and Flatbush road”.

Nearly 50 years later, that reputation of removed calm still stands true.

Douglas Elliman’s Gabe -Leibowitz List agent described Albemarle Terrace as an idyllic community, with neighbors often sitting outside and running children.

“Whenever I was there, I saw playing on the street,” Leibowitz the post, describing the secret of the small block as “a very peripheral blow”.

Listings along Terrace Albemarle are particularly rare, Leibowitz said. He noted only a small portion of sales over the past 15 years.

The area has appeared as a regular shooting site for HBO’s Boardwalk “and served as an attitude of Georgetown in The American The American, according to Streeasy.

Two other million dollars in the historic district, both five bedrooms, are waiting for sales.
