NYC apartments are famously bored – but now they are getting bigger, study shows

Over the past decade, the average size of a newly built apartment in the JB has been reduced to the size of a twin bed.

Twenty-two square meters, specifically-is the average 10-year shrinkage discovered by the Rentcafe study for 100 US cities with large markets.

Cities like New York and San Francisco, however, saw some of the most important growth of the square for rent among the meters analyzed.

With an average of 702 square meters, the typical Queens rent is nothing to write at home, but it is an improvement from 2015. C (Curstals in Queens County won 39 square meters over the last 10 years, found rentcafe, as it developed in the growth of the two-Bukë apartment apartments.

Rentcafe study attributes average growth in expanding one and two-banking apartments, “allowing manhattanites only enough space for a small animal without having to compromise in that mini refrigerator”.

New York City and San Francisco – where the apartments gained 59 square meters – are exceptions from the rule. The sizes of the apartments landed in most of the large meters studied, from Agoikago to Orlando.

The largest apartments in the country are concentrated from New York, in the south. Rentals in Tallahassee and Gainesville, Florida, an average of 1,120 square meters, according to Rentcafe. But apartments in Arlington, Texas saw the greatest loss of square footage of every studied city. Rentals Arlington, on average, lost 215 square meters – almost the size of the average American bedroom.
