This upper roof of Upper Upper Co-op, located a stone shot from the metropolitan museum of art is seeking its generation of owners-after more than six decades from the market.
The newly listed $ 10m unit in 1050 ave. Ave. It was in the same family for that impressive space of the time.
Those owners, whose identities could not be designated, bought the half-predetermined house on the 21st floor when the building was completed in 1959.
Tate Kelly and Josue Gonzalez from Coldwell Banker Warburg keep the list. The pentouse mat about 3,000 square meters, according to Kelly, with another 311 square meters of terrace.
The ranking advertises three to five bedrooms, depending on the buyer’s preferences and 3.5 bathrooms. The large living corner room boasts a corner window to the ceiling overlooking the western and southern horizon, and access to one of the three terraces.
The main suite has its terrace overlooking Met.
A hidden hall closet adds extra character to the house – the door is mixed between the entrance gallery and the official dining room.
“No one notices him when they walk near,” Kelly told the post. “And even if they do, they don’t realize that it’s also a secret crossing in one of the bedrooms.”
Numerous room uses reflect the many lives given in this multi-generating house. A room, Kelly said, has been different used as a maid room, a nanny room, a game room and a studio of artists.
Kelly said the current owners bought the unit directly from the developer of 1050 Ave. Ave., Bernard Spitzer. Spitzer, a real estate developer and the father of former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, built a luxury co-op with business partner Melvin D. Lipman.
Kelly said the family raised their children there, but they need less unit after the family has grown.
“It was a real family home, and now that all children have grown up and moved from the city, sellers no longer use it,” Kelly said.
