The secret investor behind a transaction of the “billionaire bunker” of Miami’s record setting is celebrating his success.
The seller of an underdeveloped parcel immediately near Jeff Bezos was discovered as a man named Mikhail Pilleg, according to a release. The German developer and investor kidnapped $ 105 million for the plot on Monday, marking a record price for the Indian ultra-exclusive island of Creek.
The buyer’s identity could not be determined, but it was paid in cash, reported forbes.
Pilleg is married and lives in Switzerland with two daughters, Sophia and Maria. He bought the approximately 2nd bar on 2018 for $ 27.5 million. The initial pilgrim plans to build were finally thrown, earlier agent Ilya Reznik told The Post.
Pilleg had high hopes for the island created by man when he grabbed his empty plot there seven years.
“When I passed this property in 2018, it was the highest sale price on the market,” Pilleg said in a state divided by post. “People told me I was paying a lot, that it wasn’t a smart investment. But I saw long -term potential both on land and in the vision we had for the property.”
Property in 9 Indian Creek Island Road ranks $ 200 million at the end of last year. In addition to the eye -watering price label, the property made titles for its proximity to Jeff Bezos’s properties there. Billionaire Amazon bought two neighboring houses in 2023 for $ 68 million and $ 79 million, respectively.
Conquering 200 meters of western water water along the Biscayne Bay, the parcel boasts overlooking in the center of the city of Miami and enough space for a megaayacht with water to discard.
The property was subjected to two price discounts during its market term, at $ 150 million in March and $ 130 million in June, according to Zillow.
Initial subordinate sales reports in early June quoted a $ 110 million sale award from a developer familiar with the deal, But the mystery buyer paid $ 5 million less than expected. The deep pocket buyer, previously identified only as an “International Finance Executive” by Wall Street Journal, closed for $ 105 million on Monday.
The final sales pricing for the empty parcel is only $ 15 million shy by the most expensive home sales and Miami, but certainly sets a new record for the Indian Creek island.
The previous record was set by Bezos himself, which had been fulfilled a house of $ 87 million on the other side of the island last year while the two neighboring parcel houses were underwent.
“I believe the countries really exclusive, even if the expenses, always profitable,” Pilleg in his statement.
Access to the island is very limited. Its residents Toni, including Tom Brady, Carl Icahn, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, are provided by their police force and a naval patrol. Only 41 houses currently invade the island.
