Look ya complaining about?
Apple fans are divided into a strangely polarizing change presented in the latest IOS 26 beta: a redesign of the clock icon.
What looks like a small aesthetic tweak has aroused a wave of internet feedback from iPhone users.
Since 2013, the iPhone clock icon has shown a special white -clock face against a square black background – a well -known and functional design that has grown.
However, the classical icon has been updated with iOS 26, which was discovered this week at the World Conference of Apple Developers (WWDC).
Now shows a versatile white background with added clock marks around the outer edge.
Although seemingly small, the change has not passed unnoticed. Many iPhone users have received on social media platforms, including X to ignite their disappointment.
“Am I the only one I didn’t like the new clock icon?” Asked one user, according to the Daily Mail.
Another was more open: “Apple has made a real mess with this 26. I want to download it.”

“IOS 18 cannot read iOS 26,” a user withdrew, while another called the updated icon “Just Ugly”.
Icon updating is part of a wider design repair in iOS 26, which presents what Apple calls a “liquid glass” aesthetic – dynamic, dynamic visual effects that respond to competition and context.
According to Alan Dye, Apple’s vice president for the design of the human interface, the redesign aims to make the software “intuitive, beautiful and delightful”.
In addition to the clock icon, the other icons of the application have also received visual refreshments.
Airdrop now contains a blue background with translucent white lines, while the translation app switched its black background for blue. Despite these broader changes, it is the new clock model that seems to have caused the strongest reactions.
Currently available only to developers, iOS 26 is expected to be released this fall.
Until then, Apple may have time to reconsider – or at least prepare for more bright reactions by users who are not read to release their old clock.
