This three-bedroom house West West Side can be historic-but in no way is old-fashioned.
Mosaic artist Allison Eden – “Lady Gaga of the Tile World”, whose work goes from Bloomingdale vacation window shows to Elton John and Kris Kardashian – has returned to the market, this time for $ 3.84 million. The non-traditional house resides in the co-op of the old school court.
“I know it’s a little wild, but I didn’t change anything, I just painted it,” Eden Post told. “So if you look beyond my orange and yellow paint – which I think is beans and new owners should keep it – but if you have painted it white, the good is still there.”
Images of the property list show a home that explodes in bold colors, original artwork and intricate mosaics. Even the cut -off tray of the living room is painted in living orange.
Broker Compass Brian K. Lewis advertised the house with the list of photos showing the rooms in their full Glam glory, as well as edited white -wall versions for the latest input buyers to restoration equipment.
Classic household house details, solid wood floors, 10-foot ceilings and a wooden burning fireplace are stylishly plotted by the living walls of Eden and technical coats.
“She’s a real artist, but when you remove it a layer of paint, what you left is is an amazing classic eight in one of the most iconic buildings on the upper side of West,” Lewis told The Post.
Lewis called the unit “one of the Biggies one of the Astor court, with a style that evokes the artistic roots of Side Side.
The Astor court was built by US architect Charles A. Platt for Vincent Astor in 1916 and holds the traditional signs of a pre-construction ceilings and thick Walnles.
The list of photos show a bright yellow art gallery covered with art, with a living room on one side and a dining room on the other. The dining room accommodates 14 guests, according to the ranking, and includes a golden, wooden tile fireplace.
The art of home construction, tile archives and coats are included in sale.
Eden runs Allison Eden Studio along with her husband, Gary Goldenstein. The duo bought their home in more than 20 years ago by Nancy Marchnd, who was famously played by Livia Soprano in “The sopranos”.
Eden and Goldenstein initially placed their Astor court unit for sale in 2020 with a different broker for $ 4.2 million.
Eden said sharing with the house where she raised her family makes her “a completely emotional sale”. She recalled calling for her two children playing in the big Astor court garden and throwing holidays similar to the nightclub inside the thick walls of the house.
Residents in Astor court enjoy an impressive English garden in its center, a roof landscape terrace, a children’s lounge and a garage.
