I stayed in the villages to see if all the wild rumors about the pension community are true

A content creator whose grandmother lives inside the villages has raised the lid on what life is really like the infamous pension community in Florida, after staying with her relatives – and has experienced a lifestyle taste.

Dear Buchanan, a popular travel influencer who, along with her husband, Night, runs a successful Youtube channel in which they document their adventures of global movement.

However, for her latest trips, dear chose to stay a little closure at home, falling in love with a remote destination, but for the state of the Sun, where she got the opportunity to see what is really how to live in the villages-and if many rumors expressed about the goals are true.

The villages have made a long way from its humble beginnings as a trailer park in the 1970s. Today, it is a flowering community, aged 55 and immovable that includes 57 square-miles-overalls, it seems to increase that trail in the coming years.

Last year, US census data found that the villages were the country’s faster growth meters, growing 4.7% between 2022 and 2023.

The intentional community offers its residents a wide range of facilities, including 3,000 clubs of social interest and of particular interest, as well as activities such as square dancing, drama, water ballet, abdominal dancing, the driving of golf with precision, cheers and tapping.

There are also 14 country clubs, 17 pools and 100,000 golf carts.

Adding their appeal is the fact that access to all community equipment – gyms, pools, REC centers, softball fields, golf, clubs and activities – are available for a fee of $ 199 a month, regardless of the size of a resident’s home.

However, while the community is advertised as a “flourishing background where you can live life to the maximum,” are the inhabitants of the villages and its social social scenes that have attracted the most attention over the years.

Many reports and rumors have appeared about the strict strict scene that came out inside the villages – with the community making national titles in 2006, when WFTV News reported that its center had seen a large increase in the case.

“A doctor at the Village Women’s Center said even in her years working in Miami, she has never seen so many cases,” the report said.

This quote came viral, and the community soon became known as the “StD of America”, despite subsequent reporting paying attention to the fact that there was no accurate data to support these rumors.

However, the stain of the scandal has continued inside the villages since then – with more fuel added to that fire when reports begin to appear, suggesting that a group living in community are using “Loofah signaling” in order to publicly express their sexual preferences to other residents.

This rumor was traced back to a riff made by comedian Tora Himan, an attractive queen of the Orlando area who previously performed in the villages as part of a cabaret show.

A similar whisper that ran rampant included pineapple upside down. This scandal without people online claiming that the pinepples upside down in the villages were a way to signal the shake.

However, according to Kara’s grandmother, these rumors do not really have for them.

“Are the rumors true? Do you know someone who has Loofahs in their door or pineapple upside down?” Dear questions.

“Haha, no. I’ve heard some rumors, but as I know, they are not true,” she insisted.

Although shaky rumors can keep a little confidence, one thing is for sure – the inhabitants of the villages probably know how to celebrate.

In her viral video, the beloved revealed that residents often gathered around the yard and spent the dance “all night”, though her grandmother revealed that this would really say they were out and up to “9 afternoons”

And while she insisted that her great -grandfather had not seen evidence of Loofhahs or pineapples used on the meeting scene, dearly made a walk away with information about a very unique method they use some residents to show that they are single: “Leaving the label on your shirt when you are dancing.”

Still, after enjoying numerous nights in the villages, dear found it alive enough to mark the “College for Retired People” pension community.

The wide range of community house prices is another reason that the villages are so popular among the silver group.

As for this article, there are over 900 houses for sale in the villages on Realtor.comĀ®. The community has about 71,000 houses in total, with new ones that appear daily. The average listing is currently $ 389,900.

The most expensive house in the market in the villages now at $ 1.5 million. It is a four-bedroom house, three-bank, 3,508 square meters in a nearly half hectare.

The most valuable homes in the villages tend to be in a golf course, preservation or lake, according to the real estate agent April Couturier. The house mentioned above controls two of those boxes and also happens to be in one of the rich neighborhoods around Lake Sumter.
